The benefits of cloud migration may seem limitless to traditional on-premise ISVs.  The potential for huge competitive advantage is there, but only if you tackle cloud migration the right way: with the customer in mind.   In his recent software monetization article on TMCNet, Rich Steeves shared the three core traits that the most successful SaaS applications have.

The three elements customers expect to find in a SaaS application are:

–          Versatility.  If your SaaS product is versatile, the user not only realizes the inherent value it brings out of the box, but also allows for custom configurations that the customer wants.

–          Flexibility.   If your SaaS product is flexible, it allows for customers to choose how to use and pay for it.

–          Agility.    If your SaaS product is agile, it can withstand and easily support changing end-user requirements.
