We all do it. In the interest of brevity and simplicity, we complicate the business we’re in with impenetrable jargon and acronyms. The confusion often arises when a familiar word is used in an unfamiliar context and given new meaning.
To help clarify matters, we present Software Monetization 101 – a blog series that examines commonly misunderstood terminology in the software protection, licensing, and entitlement management space. For example, the difference between terms such as “licenses” and “entitlements” may be subtle, but that doesn’t mean they can, or should, be used interchangeably.
